Getting to know… Pia Anderson
Over the past year and a half Noah’s Art has grown so much. We’ve gone from three locations to now eight! One of the greatest things about our business growing is the strength that the new studio owners and employees bring to our program. Pia Anderson, owner of one of our newest locations; Noah’s Art of Spring Lake (North Carolina), brings a large skill set to contribute to Noah’s Art. As a mother, business owner, Criminal Justice Instructor at Fayetteville Technical Community College, and a Doctoral Candidate, Pia is a busy person! She took time from her busy schedule to sit down with me and answer a few questions to help us all get to know her better.

Why did you want to open a Noah’s Art?
As an educator and a mother I know the importance of having children involved in enrichment activities. I researched different “child- friendly” businesses and when I came across Noah’s Art I was immediately intrigued with the concept. Art plays a momentous role in children’s development, yet, it is the first program cut when funding is decreased. After having the opportunity to converse with you (Brian), one of the co-founders, on several occasions and conducting additional research on Noah’s Art. After having the chance to personally meet you and your wife (Wendi), and learning more about you and seeing your passion, hard work and dedication of the foundation of Noah’s Art, I knew I wanted to be a part of the family. I prayed about it, and stepped out on faith. I wanted to be able to make an impact with children and watch children grow and develop. As the owner of Noah’s Art of Spring Lake, my staff and I blessed to see this day in, day out.
What is your all time favorite children’s book?
Cat in the Hat – by Dr. Seuss.
Summer or Winter?
Summer, I love to travel during the summer!
What is the farthest you have ever been from home?
Do you have a special talent? or tell me something that most people don’t know about you…
I wish I had a special talent! A few things people do not know about me: In college I studied abroad in London. I do not watch television on weekdays. I am a Doctoral Candidate working on my dissertation. I LOVE different ethnic foods.
If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
What is your favorite thing about working at Noah’s Art?
I truly enjoy having the opportunity to provide a service to the community. I enjoy watching children express themselves through art while also learning and developing fine motor skills, social interaction, all while having fun. Noah’s Art of Spring Lake would not be the great place it is without the outstanding Art teachers SuJin Jensen and Silvia Guiterez. These two ladies dedicate hours of their time to make sure every class, birthday party and event at Noah’s Art of Spring Lake is a success. Working with them is definitely one of the BEST things!!! Thank you (SuJin and Silvia) for all that you do!!!
If you could have one superpower what would it be and why?
Unlimited energy- this would allow me to get everything accomplished and never be tired!
Thanks for your time and letting us know a bit more about you!
