  Frequently Asked Questions

Do you want to know more about Noah’s Art and the Noah’s Art Business Opportunity?
Here is a list of our most commonly asked questions about opening a Noah’s Art studio.  If you have a question that you don’t see answered here, feel free to communicate with us using our contact form and we will be more than happy to answer it.

How long has Noah’s Art been in business?
Noah’s Art was established on April 4th, 2001.

Is Noah’s Art a Franchise?
No.  Noah’s Art is considered a License or Business Opportunity.

What’s the difference between a Franchise and a License?
The legal differences are too many to list here, but in a nutshell, a franchise is more controlling and restricting, while a license allows for more freedoms, putting you in the driver’s seat.  A franchise is also generally more expensive initially and requires you to pay a percentage of every collected dollar to the Franchisor in exchange for ongoing support.  Licensed businesses are limited in the support that they are allowed to give, therefore do not collect additional money based upon your performance (you keep your earnings).

Do I need any experience as a teacher, an artist, or as a business owner?
No, it is not required that you have experience as a teacher, artist, or business owner.  Experience in those specific areas will surely aide in your success and give you an early advantage over someone who may not have that same experience.  Two crucial factors that should be required are a love of being with children, and a desire to succeed.  The rest can be taught.  Between a Licensee’s initial training, our Curriculum Books, and our Operations Manual you will have plenty of information to learn and digest that will point you in the direction of becoming an expert teacher, artist, and business owner.

I know that I want to open a Noah’s Art!  What do I do next?
Great!  Complete the online application, and one of our licensing advisors will contact you right away.

What are the steps to becoming licensed with Noah’s Art?
Here are the stages to becoming a Noah’s Art Licensee:
1. Complete the online application
2. Consult with a Noah’s Art Licensing Advisor
3. Visit our Headquarters in Charlotte, NC
4. Sign contracts and pay associated fees
5. Attend initial training
Note: steps 3-5 can be completed in the same visit.

Once I choose Noah’s Art, will you provide assistance?
Yes.  All Noah’s Art Licensees will be given the opportunity to train in our flagship studio with the creators of the program.  Licensees will also be given a Manual of Operations that contains a wealth of information on daily operations, business management, and business procedures.  Once you become a Licensee you will be given access to our Noah’s Art Educator’s Intranet which contains a forum for our network Licensees to share and contribute ideas about marketing, business practices, course curriculum, customer relations and more.  The Intranet will also contain numerous forms and templates for use in the studio and in marketing materials.  We will also set up and maintain your presence on our website.  Even though Licensors are limited in the amount of support they can directly give, we will provide opportunities for you to hire one of our Noah’s Art business consultants should you need direct individualized assistance.

Will you be offering more curriculum, or is the initial set all we will get?
Your students will love our exciting, well planned lessons!  We know that you will have many repeat students.  This means that you will need to have multiple course offerings so that they do not continually repeat the same lessons.  Noah’s Art already has an incredible library of curriculum units that will be provided to new Licensees.  As we learn about new ways to communicate and express our creative talents and ideas, we will continue to develop new curriculum units that will be made available to all Noah’s Art Licensees so that your students will have a fresh selection of classes to choose from.

I already own a business, can I add Noah’s Art to our existing business model?
Yes!  You may have a day care center or a gymnastics business and want to broaden the opportunities you provide to your clients.  A Noah’s Art License is a great option for you to enhance your business and utilize your existing students, leased space, and even staff.
